Peter R. de Wolf is a humorous theatre performance with a sharp edge, based on the musical fairy tale of Peter and the Wolf of Prokofjev.
The original story is simple: on a fine morning the little boy Peter, who lives with his grandfather, goes to the pond. A bird is whistling, a duck is quacking, a cat is watching the bird. Suddenly a wolf appears and swallows the duck in a single bite. Peter manages to capture the wolf with the help of a few hunters who rushed to his aid and takes it to the zoo. End of story. A vague story with many loose ends. What happened to that duck? And why was Peter living with his grandfather? Did he have no parents? Who was that grandfather? And why was that bird whistling so nervously? You will find out in Peter R. de Wolf, a classic little case of crime journalism.
Peter R. de Wolf is narrated by Frans van Deursen and played by an ensemble of the Dutch Chamber Orchestra conducted by Stef Collignon.
