Programme

Myrthe van de Weetering, Thijs de Klijn and Zach Lober play original compositions by Myrthe van de Weetering.

Myrthe, Thijs and Zach form a trio distinguished by a sound that is both fresh and modern, but at the same time pleasantly warm and accessible. Thijs is a “real adventurer” on the guitar, Myrthe has “a voice soft as silk” and a unique playing style, Zach accompanies with tremendous creativity. They have a love for effects pedals, a background in composition and listen to everything that is good, without caring about the boundaries of genres. You can hear that in their playing, as well as their longstanding friendship and many hours of flying together.

In late 2023, Van de Weetering released her second album, “Ghazal,” an amalgamation of music and poetry with a message. Poems that call for awareness for people with mental health problems, native american poetry, or, for example, a poem by someone who is consciously homeless. The music is multifaceted and yet the common thread is clearly present, both in sound and content, with the theme “Inner world vs. outer world.
