Programme

‘DeLange In Concert’ is a musical programme around the unique harmony of piano and horn quartet.

Frank de Lange (1972) is a Dutch neoclassical composer and pianist. Because Frank experiences music in shapes and colours, composing is like making paintings for him. DeLange studied piano at the Utrecht Conservatory and started his career as an accompanist and composer for other artists. The need to capture his emotions from a full and intense life made him start composing his own repertoire. At the age of 46, he made his début with his album “Images” (2020), characterised by a neo-romantic style with a focus on emotion and melody. His subsequent albums and EP received critical acclaim and reached a global audience with over 30 million streams. DeLange’s recent project for piano and horn quartet saw him play at a sold-out Kleine Zaal at Het Concertgebouw.
